Robert graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville in December 2012.  He earned two degrees, Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting & Bachelor of Science in Private Accounting, while studying at Northwest.  Since graduation, Robert has worked for several local CPA firms and a law firm as a tax accountant.

Robert has qualified to sit for the CPA exam and plans to start the process in the near future.  Continuing education is a priority for Robert and he has recently achieved AFSP standing and has become an IRS Preferred Tax Professional for 2018.

Prior to starting a career in Accounting Robert was a professional trombonist and vocalist for over 24 years.  He studied at some of the most prestigious music schools in the world including, Berklee College of Music in Boston, Indiana University in Bloomington & Julliard Conservatory in New York City.

Some music career highlights included performances at the White House and the rededication of the Statue of Liberty in 1986.  Robert has also performed with Rock & Roll Hall of Fame recording artist Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons and members of The Lettermen, The Platters and Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra and many others.  He also performed with various Christian industry artists including Sandi Patty, Michael W Smith and the Gaithers.

Robert spent 20 years at sea working in the cruise industry performing around the world.  He traveled and performed in over one third of the countries on Earth.  Robert chose Kansas City to be his home and is looking forward to being a part of Norma’s Tax Service because he enjoys working in firms that foster a culture of family.

Robert loves fishing, both deep-sea and fresh water, and hopes to find time after tax season to bait a few hooks.  Other hobbies include gourmet cooking and, of course,  music.
